ABOUT AHCS THERAPISTS
AHCS contracts with many licensed therapists located across central North Carolina. We have a combination of fully licensed and associate therapists with various specialties including TF-CBT, DBT, marriage and family therapy, social work, and substance use counseling.
AHCS contracted therapists can help you to address your problems, achieve your goals, and live a better life. Therapists will provide services via telehealth or come to your home or school for sessions.

Services Provided: Individual, couples, marriage & family therapy using CBT, DBT, ACT, Exposure Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, & Supportive/Mindfulness Therapy via interactive telehealth
Hobbies: I enjoy going to the beach, riding rollercoasters, cooking, and spending time with family, friends, and my furbaby.

Professional Background: I have worked as a hairstylist, disability examiner, disability case manager, homeowner assistance fund case manager, Safe Space Domestic Violence intern, and was a therapy intern with AHCS prior to obtaining my associate license.
Populations: women, teenage girls, and clients who are battling cancer or having a medical crisis
Hobbies: I enjoy watching movies traveling, going on walks, crafting, reading, and caring for my pets.
Lori Cyrus (she/her), Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate
Additional Certifications: National Certified Counselor, National Certification for Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Professional Background: Prior to becoming a therapist, I was a teacher.
Populations: children & adolescents (ages 3-18), trauma, anxiety, ADHD, autism, & behavioral disorders
Services Provided: Outpatient Mental Health Therapy- in person & telehealth
Hobbies: I enjoy bird watching and gardening. I also love science-fiction movies.
James Hackbarth (he/him), Licensed Mental Health Therapist
Additional Certifications: Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, Certified Clinical Supervisor, Certified Involuntary Commitment Examiner
Professional Background: I attended graduate school at East Carolina University and graduated with an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, specializing in addiction disorders.
Populations: ages 10 & older
Services Provided: Individual Therapy using CBT, DBT, MI, Trauma-Informed Care & Brief Family Therapy
Fun Fact: I have visited every state in the U.S. except Alaska and Hawaii!
Stephanie Price (she/they), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor
Professional Background: I have worked in private practice and with teens in Intensive Outpatient Programs for Mental Health.

Services Provided: Individual, Family, & Couples Counseling via telehealth (will provide face-to-face therapy depending on proximity)
