NO SURPRISES ACT

The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021 (AKA "No Surprises Act") established requirements to protect clients from surprise bills. AHCS seeks to be transparent about the cost of care and will provide a Good Faith Estimate to you for reference. We seek to match clients with in network providers when possible and will provide referrals to other providers if we are out of network for your insurance.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees in writing within 1 day before your service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-877-696-6775.
